About us
E4i’s purpose is to stimulate the development and diffusion of ecosystems, which are supporting innovation in the field of precision medicine and women’s health.
Human genome sequencing was only a step in a long journey towards the understanding of how genes and molecular biology work. The same journey will occur in information sciences and data processing. The stake is to correct genes, which are over or under expressed, to silence or activate the genes involved in the diseases and various conditions, and even to modify genes to prevent or treat diseases. A large part of the future of health (whether in prevention, diagnosis, monitoring or care) lies in the development of precision medicine, in which the genome and personal circumstances of a patient are examined to determine the most appropriate treatment.
E4i has been created to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of these technologies and of the innovations that will allow to transpose them quickly to industry, health professionals and patients, in a safe, efficient and equitable manner. All scientific, ethical, deontological and economic issues have to be addressed, all knowledge must be shared.
E4i is a space for meeting and exchanging, of knowledge and open/ transparent project, in the service of the common interest to transform hope in an actionable reality for all.
Who are we?
E4i is a French endowment fund and its main purpose is to promote precision medicine and women’s health.
An endowment fund is a non-profit legal entity under private law receiving and managing by capitalisation goods and rights of all kind, which are given free of charge and definitively. It also uses the profits of capitalisation to realise a task or a general interest mission, or distributes them to assist a non-profit legal entity in the accomplishment of its work and general interest missions.
E4i has been created by Ziwig, which ensures its functioning. It is not a communication tool and all promotion for Ziwig’s products is banned.
What do we do?
E4i brings together all the people involved and interested in precision medicine and women’s health around the world.
Thus, we create and lead ecosystems in every territory showing interest in precision medicine and women’s health. It is an opportunity to exchange and collaborate.
We also organise thematic events on specific subjects and also communication and teaching projects to explain and promote the principles, tools and usage of precision medicine to all involved or interested audiences.
How do we do?
In every territory, we create the material and logistic conditions, which enable us to bring together all the people involved in the implementation of precision medicine. A first “kick off meeting” is systematically organised to connect the various domains constituting the territory’s ecosystem.
With this ecosystem, both members and partners can decide to organise events or projects dedicated to themes.
The themes can then be used globally to organise global events or thematic projects.
The territorial or thematical ecosystems constitute a matrix where all elements are accessible, connected and transparent for the totality of members and partners.
